Headquarters for the Abduction Issue

The Government of Japan established Headquarters for the Abduction Issue, which consists of all of the Ministers of State, with the Prime Minister serving as chief and the Minister in Charge of the Abduction Issue, the Chief Cabinet Secretary, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs serving as assistant chiefs. Through the Headquarters, the government has been discussing various measures to address the abduction issue, including the promotion of strategic and comprehensive efforts.
