Do you know about the radio broadcasting
to North Korea?
The Secretariat of the Headquarters for the Abduction Issue of the Japanese government, and some organizations of Japan, the United
States and the Republic of Korea (ROK), have been broadcasting radio programs
to North Korea. In the programs, those organizations broadcast messages
to abductees, news on North Korea, interviews, and songs from Japan and
the ROK, on a daily basis.
In the Symposium on the Radio
Broadcasting to North Korea, major radio broadcasting organizations will gather and introduce the
activities they are carrying out. They will also discuss the role and future
of radio broadcasting to North Korea in the process of pursuing the resolution
of human rights issues in that country. (This symposium will be aired live
to North Korea(15740KHz).)
The symposium will offer valuable opportunities to gain a
better understanding of the radio broadcasting to North Korea, which the
general public is unfamiliar with in their everyday lives, and to listen to the
opinions of those who have been working on problems of North Korea on the front
line. We look forward to your participation.
